Dante is an almost complete steal from one of my favourite characters from the awesome British (and the Galaxy's greatest) comic 2000AD. Having taken some of his character traits from the pages of that wonderful place (Judge Dredd has no equal), I added my own spin.
The son of a powerful Russian Baron, Dante's family have moved to America just after the great depression. Thinking it's just an excuse for him to party and live life to the full, Dante is oblivious to the fact that his Father has greater, more insidious plans with his family's fortune. Crime, and the opportunities it offers for the building of his own empire, have lured his father into shady deals and a dark and seedy world that Dante has no idea even exists beyond the gambling, the cars and the ladies.
It doesn't take long for Dante's world to begin crumbling around him when he inadvertently gets a glimpse of the dangerous underbelly of his Father's operation.
